Wylliesburg Dixie Youth ‘Field of Dreams’ Home Run Derby Fundraiser Set for May 22

Wylliesburg Dixie Youth “Field of Dreams” committee will be hosting a “Home Run Derby” fundraiser on May 22, beginning at 1:30 p.m. at the Wylliesburg Ball Field. The committee, with the help of community and corporate donations, was able to raise the funds to install lights at the ball park and is now once again asking for assistance from the community to purchase new, much needed bleachers.

The entry fee of $10 for ages 7-12, 13-17 and 18 & up, into the Home Run Derby affords each player 10 balls to hit for points, the cost for ages 6 and under is $5. There will also be an option to purchase more balls. Trophies (and bragging rights!) will be awarded to the top three players in each category.

Also featured will be a huge slide and many fun games for the kids to enjoy, wristbands will be $10 for unlimited slides and game playing. There will also be a bag of goodies for each child to take home!

All proceeds from the event will go towards the purchase of bleachers for the new pavilion and ball field. Concessions and a bake sale will be available, with those proceeds also going towards the purchase.

This event will be packed with fun for the entire family, so bring your lawn chairs and enjoy a beautiful afternoon with family and friends!
