William Selah Brister

William Selah Brister, Sr., age 82 of Keysville, Virginia passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2013.  He is survived by his wife, Judy; three brothers, Charles of Keysville, John (Beverly) of Lakewood, NJ, Richard (Patti) of Fair Haven, NJ; one sister, Delores Young (George) of Brick, NJ; one sister-in-law, Penny Barry (Carl) of Manalapan, NJ; two sons, David of Mullica Hill, NJ, William (Beth) of Rumson, NJ; one daughter, Wendy (Jeff) of Keysville; two stepsons, Glenn of Keysville, Kenneth of Gore, Oklahoma; grandchildren Alyssa and Hunter Rapole of Keysville, Kendall, Sydnie and David Brister of Glassboro, NJ, Taylor Wells of Burlington, Wisconsin, Kyle and Josh Brister of Rumson, NJ, Samantha White (Mark) of Keysville; one step-granddaughter, Morgan Ownby of Cumberland, Va.; and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Brister served in the Air Force and was an electronic engineer in New Jersey before he retired in Keysville in 1986.  He became a farmer and raised hatching eggs for Tyson for 23 years.

A funeral service was held at 3 p.m. Sunday, December 15, 2013 at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home, with interment in Ash Camp Memorial Cemetery.  The family received friends at the funeral home from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, December 14, 2013. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, Va. is in charge of the arrangements.
