Who needs the Gov’mit?

Well, the Gov’mit is back open and nobody (except Ludd) here in Stump County noticed. We didn’t notice when it closed, we didn’t miss it and we didn’t notice when it reopened.

The only change here in Stump County was that Ludd put his still on the front porch of Ludd’s Local Likkers and Libations and ran his moonshine in public.

It was all pretty educational. Ludd called it “Freedom from Gov’mit Day” and sold “shine” at a discount. He said since the Gov’mit wasn’t interfering with production he could make it cheaper.

One of those Caesar guys said you could keep the Po Folks (voters) happy by giving them “bread and circuses.” The Gov’mit is trying to keep po’ voters happy by givin’ them TV, food and Obamacare.

Wait a dad-burn minute- that Caesar guy was right ‘cept our circus is Congress. When we have a Republicon President the Democraps want to balance the budget. Then when we have a Democrap President the Republicons want to balance the budget. Then whichever party is in power calls the party that wants to balance the budget names.

Folks, it’s like this, all both parties want is to stay in power and to spend our money while they are in power and use our money to buy our votes. They should just build a big arena, stock it with some big ol’ lions and tigers and such and throw some taxpayers in every day while the rest of us watch. Everybody would be happy except those that get fed to the lions. It would be tough on the ones gettin’ fed to the lions but the way it’s going now is they are throwing all of us, our children and our grandchildren to the lions.

The least they could do is be honest about it.
