Victoria to Host ‘National Day of the Cowboy’ – Saturday, July 23 – ‘Let-R-Buck’ Event To Kick Off At 5 p.m.

Let R BuckVICTORIA – Victoria officials are working and preparing for the upcoming National Day of the Cowboy event that will be taking place throughout the town on July 23, 2016.

Area residents and visitors from Virginia and other states have shown up to enjoy this event in the past several years and a big crowd is once again expected to be in town this year.

There will be many of the favorite activities such as re-enactments, vendors, celebrity look a-likes, as well as square dancing and many other activities that will be a part of this all day celebration. There will be the popular parade to help kick off the event at 10 am with events lasting all throughout the day.

The activities for children are plentiful with panning for gold, bouncy houses, horseback rides and much more.

Monacan Indians, Native American demonstrations, and re-enactments with the Tom Mix Rangers will be featured throughout the day.

During the event this year there will also be a BBQ cook-off and free Hayrides around the Town and Park.

Even as all of these great events wind down, there will be more entertainment as the “Let R Buck” bull riding school will be having a live bull riding event in the Victoria Railroad Park. This family owned school caters to all riders young and old and mutton busting will kick off the event at 5 pm.

Let R Buck school riders compete all over the country in; PBR, CBR, PRCA, ECBRA and other top sanctioned associations so there will be plenty of exciting entertainment at night after a full day of activities during the day.
