After not having a county parade last year, Victoria officials are working hard to bring a great event back to local residents this year as they continue to get entries. The parade will be taking place on the traditional Friday night time slot from the past as it is set to begin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 11th. Entry forms are available at ww.victoriava.net and are being accepted until December 7th.

That same weekend on Saturday, December 12, 2015, the Small Town Christmas celebration will be taking place in Victoria. This popular event is something that familes and especially kids enjoy.

Headlining the day-long event is Santa Claus and an opportunity to have breakfast and take pictures with Saint Nick.

Santa will be eating with children at Uptown Coffee Café at 9:30 with advance tickets sold at Uptown Coffee Café.

Santa will also be on hand for pictures at the new Victoria Town Office location on Main Street. This is one of the most popular activities as Santa, who was integral in first bringing this event to Victoria, will be talking with children while taking pictures throughout the day. Also, don’t miss lunch with the Grinch at Marino’s Restaurant from 12 p.m. -1 p.m.

In addition to this, there are numerous other great activities found throughout the Victoria Railroad Park. Some of these activities include free snow-less sledding and free carriage rides.

There will be Gingerbread House Decorating, a Cindy Lou Who Look-a-Like contest and much, much more. For more information on the contest look online at the town website found below.
