Vans Accident Sends One to the Hospital

LUNENBURG – Virginia State Police officials recently released information on a two-vehicle accident that took place recently in Lunenburg.

The accident took place along Route 635 near the intersection with Route 614 when a 

1998 Chrysler van and a 2015 Dodge van collided.

Virginia State Trooper P. L. Dayton said that the Chrysler van driven by 55-year-old Timothy Dow of Victoria hit the Dodge van driven by 71-year-old Ronald Morrison of Kenbridge.

Trooper Dayton said that Dow was traveling southbound on Route 635 when he crossed over on the left hand side of the road and sideswiped the vehicle driven by Morrison on the driver’s side.

The drivers escaped with no injuries, but one passenger was transported by Victoria Fire and Rescue responders from the scene. Trooper Dayton issued a citation to Dow for not driving on right side of highway.
