Two injured In Log Truck Crash in Charlotte Co.

Virginia State Police investigated a single vehicle crash on Thursday June 11, at approximately 11:40 a.m.

Carrol B. Christian, 63, of Appomattox was traveling northbound on Red House Road near Phenix, Va. in a 1986 GMC single-axle log truck when he ran off the right side of the road, over-corrected, ran off the left side and overturned.The accident occurred approximately 300 feet south of Ulrich Plantation Road. Christian and a 26-year-old unidentified male passenger sustained minor injuries in the accident.

Christian was charged with reckless driving and one lane of Red House Road was shut down for approximately an hour.
