Two Companies Respond to Skidder Fire

On Saturday afternoon Hampden-Sydney Vol. Fire Department responded to a call of heavy black smoke near the Abilene Road area. Crews found a fully involved skidder near a logging operation in the area. According to the fire department crews from Darlington Heights were also dispatched to help with the fire that was treating additional logging equipment
