Truck, Tractor-Trailer Collide in Lunenburg

LUNENBURG – An accident last Wednesday in Lunenburg near the intersection of Route 137 and Route 138 saw a collision between a Dodge Ram truck and a tractor-trailer.

The wreck took place around 6:15 a.m. Kenbridge Fire Department and Victoria Fire & Rescue were dispatched to the accident area. 

According to reports, the Dodge truck exited Dundas Road onto South Hill Road where the oncoming tractor-trailer was traveling.

The driver of the pick-up truck, Tommy Word of Lunenburg, was injured and transported from the scene with serious, but non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the tractor-trailer suffered only minor injuries. Virginia State Police Troopers responded to investigate the accident.

This location has been the scene of several bad accidents through the years.
