Truck Slams into Utility Pole

KENBRIDGE – An accident outside of Kenbridge on the Friday night prior to New Year’s Day caused some residents in that location to lose power for a short period of time.

The wreck took place around 8:58 p.m. in the 6900 block of Route 602, which is Longview Road. A pick-up truck ran off the side of the road and struck a utility pole. The pole was broken off and fell on top of the truck.

Virginia State Police investigators are finalizing the accident report, but there were no injuries sustained in the wreck to the driver and no other vehicles were involved.

Kenbridge Fire Department was part of the emergency responding groups to the location.
