Early Monday morning, the town of Keysville saw a disruption in the flow of traffic due to an accident involving a tractor-trailer and a power pole.
At around 8 a.m., Wilson C. Salamanca of Hyattsville, Maryland was traveling East on Route 40 in a 1998 Freightliner owned by W.C. Transport, when he attempted to make a right hand turn at the intersection of Church St. and Four Locust Hwy.
Salamanca cut too short and his trailer clipped a power pole, snapping it in two at the top. It is estimated that the trailer only sustained about $100 worth of damage, while the majority was done to the pole.
No one was injured in the incident and no charges were filed, however a lot of people were left without power until around 6 p.m.
Trooper D. Thompson was the investigating officer.
