The Farmville Fire Department was dispatched to an accident on Monday morning involving a tractor and trailer.
The incident took place around 10:21 a.m.Company 1 from Farmville Fire Department responded to the 3900 block of Poorhouse Road where they assisted Company 7 (Rice) with the overturned tractor trailer.
The emergency services responders worked in tandem with and assisted Company 7 to stop the leak of hazardous fluids into any public waterway and to stabilize the scene.
The location remained closed for several hours as Virginia State Police investigated the accident and VDOT helped in getting the large vehicle removed.
The driver was not injured in this accident.
