The Saturn V Rocket vs. Jehovah in Power

logo-hevenerWhat is the greatest source of power in the universe?  Many would, no doubt, name the Saturn V rocket.

“The Saturn V’s task may have been the most monumental in a clearly audacious project. While earlier rockets struggled to put even small capsules into Earth orbit, the Apollo program needed to heft a complex package consisting of a Command Module, a lunar lander and a capsule capable of returning home after a round trip of more than a half-million miles.

It took more than a decade of debate to come up with the final design of the Saturn V and the Apollo spacecraft it would blast into the heavens. Research on a 1 million-pound thrust engine actually began in 1953. The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) gave approval to the Saturn development program on New Year’s Eve, 1959.

A team led by German-born Wernher von Braun at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala., came up with a 3-stage design that stood 363 ft. tall–60 ft. taller than the Statue of Liberty–when the Apollo spacecraft was sitting on the launched. When fully loaded with propellants, the rocket weighed 6.2 million pounds. It had more than 3 million parts. At full throttle, its five first-stage engines produced a thundering 7.6 million pounds of thrust at liftoff. All told, a Saturn V churned out more power than 85 Hoover Dams or, if you prefer, enough energy to light up New York City for 75 minutes.” (Popular Mechanics, April 2003.)

However, when we compare Saturn V’s energy to that of God, we find that the rocket’s force is like comparing the luminosity of a burning match to that of the sun. There can be no rational comparison!

Let’s look at a few examples of the supernatural power of God, Jehovah, in Genesis, In Chapter 1, We see that God speaks matter, the physical, into existence.  In v. 11 God speaks living grass, herbs, fruit, and seeds into existence. In verses 14-16, He speaks the stars, planets, and sun and moon into existence.

Notice that the supernatural, God, is the source of the natural.  The living natural things come from above.  The law of biogenesis, accepted by all reputable scientists, tells us that life comes only from life.  Life has never been shown to come from non-living matter.

This principle is repeated in Genesis 2: 7; God forms man from the earth and breathes into his nostrils the “breath of life” (supernatural), and man became a living being, formed in the “image” of God. (Genesis 1:26.) Again, life comes from life.

When skeptics of Genesis are confronted with the law of biogenesis, their theory that the physical evolved into the non-physical, living things, their theory crumbles!

Jeremiah 9:6 states: “You live in the midst of deception; in their deceit they refuse to acknowledge me, declares the LORD.”

How tragic that some people prefer darkness over light.  May these deceived children of God find salvation (John 3:19).
