SVHEC Offers QuickBooks Financial Software Workshop

Workforce Services at the Southern Virginia Higher Education Center (SVHEC) will be offering Introduction to QuickBooks on April 1st and 3rd from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. The cost is $75.00 per student.

Marissa Jackson, Operations Manager at the Halifax County Industrial Authority (IDA), will facilitate the workshop. Jackson holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in management science from Averett University.  She has used QuickBooks extensively for bookkeeping and in her current role at the Halifax County IDA.

QuickBooks is one of the most popular accounting software packages, providing an easy way to track and maintain your organization’s financial health. QuickBooks allows users to quickly pay bills, to effortlessly create invoices, to easily generate easy-to-read financial reports, and to stay on top of incoming receipts and outgoing payments. Churches, non-profits, and small businesses in need of professional quality accounting software are encouraged to take advantage of the QuickBooks training workshops.
