Suspect in October 17 Stabbing Arrested in Crewe

Chief A.A. Booth, II announces an arrest has been made in a early Friday morning altercation that left one man stabbed. Chakel Davis, 22, of Crewe, was charged with malicious wounding on October 23 2014.

On October 17, 2014, an adult male was stabbed twice outside of the 400 block of Powell Street. The stabbing was the second altercation that took place in the 400 block of Powell Street on October 17. Earlier that morning, an altercation took place with a secondary victim, an adult female. The matter was investigated in conjunction with the stabbing and an arrest was made later that afternoon for the first altercation. Chakel Davis was arrested on charges of abduction, strangulation and assault and battery on October 17.
