Supervisors Set to Hear Several Issues During September Meeting

LUNENBURG – The Board of Supervisors of Lunenburg County are set to hold their regularly scheduled meeting this Thursday where they will discuss several recent county issues. The meeting will include public hearings on such items as CARES Act funding being added to the county budget and emergency procedures for county services continuity in situations such as the current health pandemic.

There are also agenda items of note such as the wording of the Courthouse monument on the referendum item in November being questioned by a citizen and a citizen asking to speak about Second Amendment rights.

The meeting will also include discussions and updates on a Whittle’s Mill resolution and small business grants in the area from the CARES fund.

The meeting will take place at 6:00 p.m. in the General District Courtroom, Lunenburg Courts Building.

Anyone planning to attend is reminded that all citizens/guests who attend the Board of Supervisors meeting must maintain a distance of at least six feet apart at all times and wear face coverings according to Governor’s Executive Order No. 63.
