Still Serving You: Palmer’s Grocery Remains Open

 For more than 35 years, stopping and shopping at Palmer’s Grocery at 3898 Old King’s Highway had become a weekly and sometimes daily ritual for many Charlotte County residents. When the previous owners decided to close the store last year, the Keysville community reacted quickly with a swift and resounding “NO!”

Abuzaid Abdul, a Keysville resident and owner of another convenience store in Lunenberg County, stepped up to reopen Palmer’s Grocery on January 1, 2014. Palmer’s is a full service convenience store featuring gas (including diesel) and hot foods are served for breakfast, lunch and dinner on a daily basis. The store also has the Virginia Lottery and will provide a check cashing service for both payroll and income tax checks. Palmer’s Store is open every day from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
