Stephen Phillip LeLacheur

Stephen Phillip LeLacheur, 65, of Keysville, Virginia, passed away peacefully after a valiant fight with pneumonia and subsequent infection and complications.  Stephen is survived by his wife of 45 years, Susan LeLacheur; his daughter, Jennifer LeLacheur Jones, and her husband, Mike Jones, and their sons, Ben Jones and Sam Jones; his son, Scott LeLacheur, and his significant other, Suzzy Lewis, and their children, Joshua Maradiaga and his wife, Jaynee, and Gabby Maradiaga; his brother, Robert LeLacheur, and his wife, Dianna, and his three sons and their families; his brother-in-law, Robert Dickinson, and his wife, Sharon, and his children and their families; his brother-in-law, David Dickinson, and his two sons and their families; and his sister-in-law, Nancy Dickinson.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Louis LeLacheur and Loretta Landry LeLacheur.  Born in Connecticut, Stephen graduated from high school in 1968 and joined the United States Army, where he proudly served his country until his honorable discharge in 1988, when he began his second career as a civil defense contractor.  In 2009, he retired and moved to Keysville, Virginia.

The memorial service will be held at Browning-Duffer Funeral Home on Saturday, April 9, 2016, at 3:00 p.m., with the family receiving friends after the service.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Charlotte County Rescue Squad.  The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, Va. is serving the family.
