Stealing From Everybody

What in tarnation has happened to the folks in the good old US of A? Here in Stump County we still believe in hard work, fair dealing and earning what you need. We may be the last place in the country with the values that built this great country.

It seems like the rest of the country, which is supposed to be 100 years ahead of Stump County, is going backwards- way backwards- like about a couple of hundred years backwards.

The Gov’mit likes to pretend like they are Robin Hood, stealing from the rich and giving to the poor. The problem is like most things the Gov’mit does, they didn’t read the book. Robin Hood stole from the rich who were stealing from the poor and gave the money to the poor who had been abused.

The Gov’mit steals from everybody and I mean everybody. They steal money from everybody who has money and give it out like the priests in Robin Hood’s day gave out indulgences (forgiveness for sins). You might get an indulgence but you had to pay for it.

The same thing is happening with Gov’mit money which is really money stolen from the citizens. They give it in tax breaks for the rich, social programs, subsidies and grants.

Now, half you might say, “The Gov’mit has to have money to operate.” Well, of course you are correct. On the other hand, anytime the Gov’mit uses money for anything except the constitutionally approved reasons they have exceeded their authority and are acting like those corrupt priests from the middle ages.

They say, “I’ll give you some of your neighbor’s money but in return you have to vote for me so I can live like those fat cat kings and priests.”  Democraps and Republicons will buy your vote with stolen money.

Now, the U S of A is the greatest county in the world. We have the highest standard of living, the most freedom and the most security and the highest level of poverty. That’s why so many people want to live here so badly they are willing to swim rivers, walk across deserts, and cross oceans in inner tubes.

The most important thing America has offered for almost 300 years has been the chance to succeed based on your personal drive initiative, hard work and wise decisions. America also offers the option of failing. We don’t have debtor’s prisons and your children can’t be sold as slaves. Many successful people have a history of failure before success. That is one of the things that makes America great.

Everyone can succeed to the level of their ability. But the great thing is they can encourage their children to succeed beyond that.  There is a need for some Gov’mit programs to help people in need to get on their feet and to help the elderly.  The problem is when it becomes a way of life- when citizens believe they are entitled to be supported long-term at the expense of someone else.

The biggest crime committed by our Gov’mit, including self-serving politicians and some well meaning folks, is in stealing the dream of success from the working people and the poor.

They use the handouts and Gov’mit programs to keep the poor so they won’t lose their voters. How evil is that? Old King John and the Priests would be proud of them. Talk about abusing the poor.

I can show you hundreds of families who grew up in poverty and are now middle class. Even when they were living in poverty they had dreams and plans of succeeding. Today, ask almost anyone from broke, to poverty, to middle class about their dreams of success. Most if not all will say, “winning the lottery.”

Machiavelli must have dreamed up the lottery. How sadistic is it to convince the poor and the working folks that their only hope of success is to buy chances in a Gov’mit run lottery where the Gov’mit steals half of the money and offers a one in a gazillion chance of winning?
