May 31 through June 2 the Randolph-Henry High School boys and girls tennis were in regional competition at the Burrows-Burleson Tennis Center at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg.  On Tuesday of that week boy’s team #1 seed Brycen Boettcher defeated Sean Gammashi from Eastside High School 6-4, 6-2 to advance to the semifinals where he lost to eventual singles champ John Barnes from Gate City.  From the girls team, #1 seed Meredith Feinman defeated Jessica Lewis 6-0, 6-0 from Floyd County in the quarterfinals to advance to the semifinals where she lost to the eventual singles champ, Taylor Carter, from Gate City.  On Wednesday, #1 seed doubles Couper Webb and Meredith Feinman, who had won their conference title to advance to regional quarter finals, lost to the eventual champs from Central-Wise High School.

The girls and boys tennis players thank the family and friends and RHHS school officials for their support all season and in Blacksburg.
