Statesmen JV Volleyball Picks up Road Win Over Central

The Randolph Henry Statesmen JV Volleyball team traveled to Lunenburg to face the Central Chargers last week in a district volleyball contest.

The Statesmen would get off to a fast start as Hannah Pasciuta would run off several good serves in a row to help RH jump ahead 9-5. The Chargers would battle back as Hannah Breedlove, Riley Long and Riley Jones each had big plays to cut the lead to 10-8.

From there, the Statesmen would see Morgan Mason start to dominate at the net as she and Leighan Payne had strong plays to push the R-H lead to 20-12. They would go on to get a 25-12 victory in the first set of the contest.

The second set would see the Chargers put up an early fight as Gabriela Toti had several kills and strong plays at the net. Kiana Hurt also played well for Central, serving and at the net to help the Chargers grab an early 9-8 lead.

R-H would answer back as Pasciuta had a big kill at the net to get the momentum back for her team. Randolph-Henry would roll off four straight points and then cruise to a 25-13 win in the second set and overall victory. The Statesmen are now 11-2 on the season.
