DSCN0057 DSCN0092 DSCN0046SOUTHSIDE – The Randolph-Henry soccer boys traveled to Central of Lunenburg on Wednesday of last week to take on the Chargers.

The Statesmen and Chargers’ previous match-up ended in a tied game when CHS visited R-H last month, and it appeared as if the Statesmen’s away game with CHS would end in the same fate, as the game was tied up 2-2. But the R-HHS team would rally to score a third goal and the defense would step up to help the Statesmen walk away with a victory.

The final score of 3-2 would come from two goals from Isaac Napier and one goal from Noah Napier. Scoring both goals for the Chargers was Hunter Meade.

The R-H boys would again travel away from home on Friday night as they took on the James River District’s third ranked team, Prince Edward County.

The Statesmen’s offense and defense showed great strength and endurance to tie the game with the Eagles, with a final score of 2-2.

R-H’s Coach, Patrick Shay stated, “Tonight’s game was one of the best I’ve seen. Great communication, passing, effort, and attitude. They did not give up the whole game. Well done.”

A job well done indeed. Scoring for the Statesmen were Noah Napier and Daniel Hamlett.
