Southside Virginia Community College Panther Prep Advising Day Held Monday

svcc3 svcc2 svcc1KEYSVILLE – The Workforce Development Center at the John H. Daniel Campus of Southside Virginia Community College was the site for the Panther Prep Advising Day, held Monday, November 21 from 11 a.m.-7 p.m.

The event was for all current and potential students of Southside Virginia Community College. The day was an opportunity for students to register for the 2017 spring semester. It offered workshops on BLACKBOARD and information on financial aid. Counselors, faculty and staff were on hand throughout the day’s events. Also featured at the event were music, food, prizes and a special treat as participants entered the event, with the Sweet Frog Truck on hand. Also featured at the event were the Piscataway Nation American Indian Dancers.

The event was not limited to the Keysville campus. The John J. Cavan Workforce Center at the Christanna Campus in Alberta, the Lake Country Advanced Knowledge Center in South Hill and the Southern Virginia Higher Education Center in South Boston all held advising day activities.
