Southside Virginia Chapter of VSUAA Awards Two Scholarships

soside va vsuaa awards scholarshipsFARMVILLE – The Southside Virginia Chapter of the Virginia State University Alumni Association has awarded two scholarships of $500.00 each to two local students who have enrolled and are headed to VSU for the fall semester.

A scholarship was awarded to Infinity S. Anderson, who is a 2017 graduate of Cumberland County High School. At VSU, Infinity plans to major in communications Infinity is the daughter of Anthony and Latesha Anderson of Cumberland, Va.

A scholarship was awarded to De’len Patterson, who is a 2017 graduate of Prince Edward County High School. At VSU, De’len plans to major in political science. De’len is the son of Ms. Tacola Scott of Farmville, Va.

According to Kylor Reed, chapter president, “We are excited and proud that these two SVVSUAA scholarship recipients are just two of dozens of students from our chapter area who have chosen to attend VSU, and are headed to Virginia State University very soon.”
