Southside Trooper Found Deceased in His Home

Virginia State Police Trooper Kevin J. Brown, 27, of Northampton Co., Va., was laid to rest in his native Charlotte County Saturday, August 15, 2015. Brown graduated from the Virginia State Police Academy Nov. 24, 2014, as a member of the 122nd Basic Session. His first patrol assignment was on the Eastern Shore. When Trooper Brown failed to report to work August 10, state police went to his residence in Northampton County and found him deceased. Foul play is not suspected. Troopers representing several areas of the state were in attendance to honor their comrade.
