The first ever Shine & Wine Fest, despite having to fight Mother Nature, was a huge success this past Saturday, September 26. Original plans called for the event to be held at the Chase City Municipal Airport but the decision was made on Wednesday to move the festivities to Mecklenburg Electric Cooperative’s Pavilion.
The event, which was held 12 noon-6 p.m. provided great entertainment on a rainy Saturday. Music was provided by JB & the Get Down Browns; there were also four wineries, one distillery and three food vendors on site, as well as many other vendors offering up specialty items including honey, crafts, jewelry, art and even massages!
Plans are in place to make this an annual event to continue to help raise funds for the revitalization of downtown Chase City.
