Share the Wealth… Unless it is My Wealth

I wrote six months ago that the “share the wealth” people only want to share the wealth with people who have more than they have. None of them wants to share with people who have less. If they did they would already be doing so. None of them want to share their OWN wealth.  They want to share other people’s wealth and they want to get votes by doing so. They want to buy votes with someone else’s money.

Last week Mr. (Share the Wealth) Bernie Sanders and his wife bought a $600,000 vacation home.  They could have shared and bought 10 small homes for other people. They could have given scholarships, built a community center or financed several small businesses. Over half a million dollars could have done a lot of good. Instead it will give Mr. and Mrs. Share the Wealth a vacation home.

Apparently they believe in Reagan’s Trickle Down theory. They are sharing their wealth by spending it; they are creating jobs and stimulating the economy. I wouldn’t have a problem with that if they didn’t preach just the opposite.

As a capitalist I believe they should spend their own money anyway they choose. I just wish they felt the same way about my money.
