Gary L. Johnson, a 46-year-old Blackstone sex offender of 211 North Brown Street, was recently sentenced to a year in jail for failure to abide by the rules of his probation on a 2009 conviction in Lunenburg Circuit Court on one felony count of Aggravated Sexual Battery involving a 15-year-old girl.
According to Commonwealth’s Attorney Robert Clement, Johnson violated good behavior by being involved in a high speed chase with a Crewe police officer on December 31, 2014 at 11:05 p.m. In addition to the criminal charge, Johnson was also cited for consuming alcohol and for being out after his curfew of 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
After his release from jail, he will still be on supervised probation, and must continue to comply with the previously imposed conditions.
