Sewer and Pump Station Will Begin in November

KENBRIDGE – Kenbridge Town Manager Robyn Fowler was at one of the pump station locations in Kenbridge last week as the anticipated sewer project is finally ready to begin. The pre-construction meeting and loan closing process is now expected to be completed by November 10, 2015.

Fowler says that following these two final pieces of the initial process, the contractors will begin work. She also stated that it has taken some time to get through all of the paperwork and funding issues, but the project is expected to begin within weeks.

With the project starting, Kenbridge citizens are reminded that there could be some issues at several sites around town with regard to traffic and construction work. When the project begins, delays and changes to traffic patterns are a possibility and residents should expect to see the work taking place.

The project will bring upgrades that were dictated to the town as the pump stations and infrastructure of the sewer lines were in need of work and replacement.
