Sentence Extended – Man gets additional jail time in Lunenburg, faces new charges in Prince Edward

P--James Jenkins  (Show Cause Revocation)  4-4-16LUNENBURG – A 29-year-old Farmville resident was recently sentenced to an additional one year in jail after appearing in Lunenburg Circuit Court on a revocation of a suspended sentence. James Lewis Jenkins was in court for failing to be of good behavior since his original conviction of shooting at a dwelling in 2011.

In addition to that, Jenkins is also facing significant incarceration in Prince Edward County on numerous new charges. Those charges in Prince Edward are for distribution of a schedule II controlled substance, malicious wounding, assault and batter a family member (3rd offense), obstruction of justice, stalking, and assault and battery.

The remaining portion of his suspended sentence is still subject to the outstanding conditions of the previous sentencing order, including good behavior, warrantless searches, no contact, and staying out of Lunenburg County.
