Second Annual Lunenburg County Ministries Golf benefit held in Victoria

The Victoria Golf Club recently hosted the 2nd Annual Lunenburg County Ministries Golf Benefit to raise money and to serve as a food drive for the food pantry they operate. This organization is run strictly by volunteers and receives no financial help from the county nor either town as well they do not get any grants from the state or federal levels.

Organizers said that these individuals are the unsung heroes of our community for what they do. This year tournament coordinator Chris Craft worked with Bob Smith, Jack Roberts, Robert Ledbetter and Richard Speights from the ministries to raise over $2,000 and over 200 pounds of food donated.

1st place went to Team Childress with 13 under par

2nd place went to Team Hite with 10 under par

3rd place went to Team Craft with 8 under par
