Search Warrant Nets Cocaine, More

LUNENBURG – The Tri-County Drug and Gang Task Force (3V) executed a search warrant on a residence in the town of Kenbridge on October 6. Assisting the Task Force was the Lunenburg County Sheriff’s Office and the Kenbridge Police Department.

The operation resulted in the seizure of approximately 2.5 ounces of powder cocaine (valued at $3,125), 20 hydrocodone tablets (valued at $100), one pound of marijuana (valued at $3,500), four handguns (valued at $800) and $5,520 in U.S. currency.

One individual was charged with Failure to Appear, Possession of a Schedule II Narcotic, and Possession of a Firearm while in Possession of a Schedule II Narcotic. Charges are pending on other individuals.

The Task Force is comprised of Special Agents and Investigators from the Lunenburg and Charlotte County Sheriff’s Offices as well as the Virginia State Police. The Task Force will continue working this investigation and urges anyone with information on the distribution of illegal narcotics to contact the Lunenburg County Sheriff’s Office at 434-696-4452.
