That’s right. It is almost here. Lisa Dickerson Daniel and her crew are busy completing all of the last minute details for the hometown celebration of summer that has come to be known as Scuffletown Day. This year it will be held on Saturday, August 1, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Scuffletown Grocery. Anybody looking to spend an afternoon enjoying good music, great food, and the best kind of old-fashioned neighborhood camaraderie and genuine family fun to be had is welcome to attend. This year’s celebration promises to be a great one. Free live music is being supplied by Calvin and Company, a band from Lynchburg, Virginia. Vendors, selling products such as Avon, Magnabilities, along with jewelry and other yard sale items, will all be there. A bouncy house will be set up for the kids.  Food vendors will be selling hot dogs, fish sandwiches, homemade baked goods, even Amish ice cream! Bill Green will be selling his own special Boston butts, so call to get your order in now! For information on a free vendor’s spot or to order your Boston butt, call Scuffletown Grocery at (434) 454-6195.
