Scuffletown Day Sizzled

Mother Nature was in her finest form last Saturday, delivering another sizzling day to remind us all that it is, indeed, summertime. Despite the hot and humid weather, faithful friends and neighbors turned out for the annual festivities of Scuffletown Day. The parking lot of Lisa Dickerson Daniel’s Scuffletown grocery was again decorated with a bouncy house and the various vendors’ pop up tents, which offered a little shade to the visitors that shopped the wares that were being sold. Good music rolled out of the biggest tent. This year Calvin & Company, a band from the Lynchburg area showed up and kept toes tapping and feet two-stepping in spite of the heat. Photos by Noel Oliver
