VICTORIA – The town of Victoria will be busy again this weekend as they prepare to host the 4th Annual Small Town Christmas Celebration.

The event started with several local business owners in the town and “Santa Claus” who will once again attend the event and take pictures with good little boys and girls. Since the start of the event four years ago, it has continued to grow and become a tradition that both local residents out of town guests look forward to attending.

Santa will once again be the highlight of the event for many local kids. He had previously indicated that the idea came to him as a way to have something really special in the town for Christmas. Santa will be eating with children at Uptown Coffee Café at 9:30 with advance tickets sold at Uptown Coffee Café.

Santa will also be on hand for pictures at the new Victoria Town Office location on Main Street. This is one of the most popular activities as Jolly Old Saint Nick will be talking with children while taking pictures throughout the day. Also, don’t miss lunch with the Grinch at Marino’s Restaurant from 12p.m. -1 p.m.

In addition to this, there are numerous other great activities found throughout the Victoria Railroad Park. Some of these activities include free snowless sledding and free carriage rides.

There will be Gingerbread House Decorating, a Cindy Lou Who look-a-like contest. The Southside Messenger will be passing out “Nice List” front page keepsakes for the kids.

Other great activities include:

Pictures with the Grinch at the Community Center

Christmas Ornament Decorating at A&J Produce

Christmas Shoppe Craft house at the Community Center

Christmas Carolers

Live Nativity Scene

Marshmallow roasting and a visit with Smokey the Bear

Snowless sledding on the hill behind the drugstore
