On April 16, 2016, Randolph-Henry will host its annual after prom celebration. The goal of this event is to provide students with an alternative to the traditional after prom parties held off campus that might otherwise tempt them to make bad decisions. In a survey conducted by the Statistic Brain Research Institute, 53% of teens reported having more than 4 drinks on prom night. The Department of Transportation estimates that on a typical prom weekend 48 teenagers will be killed in vehicles, 5, 202 are injured, and 40% of the deaths are alcohol related.

With your support we can show students how to have a night they will always remember without drugs, alcohol, and other dangerous activities. In order to keep students on campus as long as possible, we will be raffling off exciting prizes every 30 minutes. We would greatly appreciate any prize donations, gift cards, or monetary donations that could be used to purchase prizes. We plan to treat students to a DJ, food, many different games, and fun activities.

Please join our efforts in creating an event that will encourage the youth of Charlotte County to make wise choices and to live to tell the story of the exciting prom night they shared with their friends. Remember that your donation could save the life of one of our Charlotte County teens!

If you have any questions or would like to make a donation, please contact Erin Davis at davisel@ccps.k12.va.us or call 434-542-4111 ext 4157.
