Located on Main Street in the small community of Drakes Branch, “Let’s Twist Again” offers customers a throwback experience to the 50s and 60s era.

The retro style ice cream shop and diner officially opened its doors for business on Saturday, October 11th.  According to Celina Robinson, she and her sister, Cheryl Hillegus, grew up listening to 50s and 60s music and always had a dream of owning an ice cream shop.  Originally from New York, the sisters moved to Virginia in 2009 and officially located to Charlotte County last August.  After securing the vacant building on Drakes Main St., the rest was history.

“Let’s Twist Again” offers a delectable menu containing an assortment of burgers, hot dogs, chicken strips and BLTs in addition to a variety of ice cream, floats and shakes.  Robinson also explained that the two make their own waffle cones.  “Let’s Twist Again” is an affordable family option that even includes an arcade for children.

“We couldn’t have done it without my husband and brother-in-law,” explained Robinson.  Stu Robinson and Cliff Hillegus helped Celina and Cheryl ultimately make their dreams a reality.
