Randolph-Henry Golf Team Ready to Hit the Greens

This will be Coach Powell’s 20th year coaching the Randolph-Henry Golf Team and he is just as excited about this year as he was the first year he began coaching at Randolph-Henry in 1994.  The team has been very successful for the last nineteen years.  The Statesmen golf team has won 16 James River District and tournament championships, five Regional championships, and one State championship in 2005.  Also, the golf team has accumulated 266 wins and has won 101 consecutive District matches.  They have been successful because of dedicated parents, players, and the assistant coaches they have had for the past 19 years.  This year’s team will be led by senior co-captains Drew Jackson and Walker Dunnavant.  Other returning players are Derek Lee, Avery Luna, Marc Hall, Greg Pharr, Tyler Amos, and Conner White.  New players to this year’s team are Matthew Myers, Mitch Dunn, Gunnar Lacks, and George Thomas Sandridge.  Also new to the team this year is Assistant Coach Eddie Pyle.  All players are working hard and improving every day and we are looking forward to another great season.
