Racist, Sexist, Appearance-ist and crazyness

I have decided to enter the Miss Black South America contest.  I shouldn’t have any problems. I don’t live there but if I can sneak across the border I should have all the same rights as a citizen. To deny me entry because I am male would be sexist. To deny me entry because I am Caucasian would be racist. To deny me entry because I am ugly would be appearanceists and the fact that I am a Mister rather than a Miss means nothing as we are all allowed to choose our own sexual identity.                   .

logo- government grumblingsThen after I enter the fact that I can’t sing, dance or play a musical instrument (or even solo cups and we will not even discuss C-cups) and really don’t have any talent at all shouldn’t affect my score in the talent contest.

The fact that I am a grumpy old man shouldn’t affect my chances for Miss Congeniality nor should the fact that I will look like an overweight  pregnant penguin trapped in a plastic bag in the swimsuit competition affect my chances there.

Not only should I be allowed to compete if I do not win it will prove the competition is racist sexist and a whole bunch of other “ists”.

The only factor that should matter is that I am Caucasian (the other contestants are not) and to not vote for me would be racist.

The fact is race should be a non-issue in any competition. The fact that the winner might not be the one you would choose does not make it racist. If I were judging a beauty contest every winner would be a tall brunette. Brunette by the way is not a hair color. Brunettes have dark hair, dark eyes and brownish skin. I have a friend who would judge purely on bust size and another who likes large posteriors.  That is why you don’t see us on the judge’s stand.

The winner is purely based on the choice of the judges. Again race should not be a factor.

This week we sent in entries for the Virginia Press Association’s Annual Contest. I will be judged on the quality of my entries compared to the other entries and purely on the judge’s preferences. The judges won’t know my race, age, sex, height, hair color or age.  I will be judged and will win or lose based purely on the content of my writing.

For someone to say the lack of Blacks in this year’s Academy Awards is racist is racist in itself. The complainers are judging the winners and non-winners solely on the basis of the color of their skin. Isn’t that the definition of racist.

Would the folks screaming racism be screaming racism if all of the winners were black? Wouldn’t it be racist to decide a token black should win to avoid the appearance of racism?

Hypothetically what would be said if the first three runners in the 100 yard dash were the same race but number 6 got third place to avoid being accused of racism?

Shouldn’t we save the label racist for the real racists?
