R-H Volleyball Set For Conference Tourney

The Randolph-Henry Varsity Volleyball team got a big win over Prince Edward recently in a 3 games to 1 match victory.

Randolph Henry got strong offensive play from several players include Anna Pascuit and Jakya Pettus who led the team in kills on the night.

R-H jumped out to an early lead in the contest as they took a 25-19 victory in the opening set. The Eagles would answer back in the second set as they got a 25-15 second set win where they led throughout.

The Statesmen regrouped during the third set and held on late to win 25-19 win and just need one more set victory for the win.

The Statesmen and Eagles battled back and forth in the fourth set with Randolph-Henry closing the set out on a block by Kierra Jones to gain the 26-24 win.

The team would get another 3-1 victory over Buckingham to follow up the Prince Edward win before dropping the regular season finale against Nottoway.

The R-H squad begins Conference Play this week.
