R-H Track has strong showing at PE

The Randolph-Henry track teams traveled to Prince Edward last week and competed against the Prince Edward Eagles and Bluestone Barons. The Statesmen would get several strong individual performances in the meet. The following athletes place in their events.

Kiera Dodd placed 1st in the discus

Nadya Pettus placed 2nd in the 100 and 200 meter dash

Dajah White placed 2nd in the 1600 meter run and 1st in the 3200 meter run

Anisha Marable placed 1st in the 400 meter run

Ty Banks placed 3rd in the 400 meter run

Rebecca Bryant placed 1st in the 800 meter run

Chante Elam placed 2nd in the 800 meter run

Briana Thompson placed 3rd in the 800 meter run

Lilly Toombs placed 4th in the 800 meter run

Melody Scott placed 4th in the 100 meter dash

Deon Shuford placed 4th in the long jump and high hurdles

Mitch Dunn placed 4th in the discus

Chris Powell placed 3rd in the 100 meter dash and 3rd in the 200 meter dash

Ryan Craighead placed 2nd in the 1600 meter run and 3rd in the 800 meter run

Nasheim Pettus placed 3rd in the 400 meter run and 2nd in the 800 meter run

Jacob Barker placed 1st in the 3200 meter run

Alex Barker placed 2nd in the 3200 meter run

Trent Pettus placed 3rd in the 3200 meter run

4×400 relay team placed 1st that consisted of Ryan Craighead, Devon Brogden, Billy French, and Deon Shuford

Pictured are juniors Mitch Dunn and Quadre Pulliam.  This is their first year as track members  amd the duo is throwing the shot put and discus.  They have been placing second, third, and fourth in both events.
