CHATHAM – The Randolph-Henry High School boys soccer team traveled to Chatham High School on Thursday, March 8 for their first scrimmage of the season.
Chatham was able to score in the first three minutes, followed by an equalizer in the 11th minute when R-HHS’s Isaac Napier made a pass to Jose Perez, who made the goal to tie the game.
Perez was able to put another goal away in the 30th minute with a pass from Noah Napier. Chatham came back after the half with a fast break-away to tie the game back up.
The score remained tied until DaeShawn Bullock played a through ball to Perez who went 1v1 with the goalie to get the winning goal.
“The guys still need to work on a few things, but we looked good,” said Coach Patrick Shay. “I’m looking forward to a good season. Along with the great offensive play, the defense was able to stop many attacks and showed great energy. Well done.”
