LUNENBURG – In a continuing effort to communicate with parents and grow the relationship between school and home learning, Lunenburg County Public Schools made available Title I Parent Surveys online or in hard copy form back in September.

The surveys were for both Victoria and Kenbridge Elementary Schools and were available on the school website.

Meri Page Spencer recently reported on the survey results and noted that it offers insight into such things as how parents like to receive information from the schools, what additional information parents would like to know about the schools, and what would make it easier or better for parents to attend the many workshops the schools have been offering in recent years.

This survey provides valuable information to the school administrators and officials in order to help with communication to parents at home. One of the questions asked about the manner that parents would most like to be used in contacting them about events, activities, workshops or other school related activities. The top two answers this year were text messages and email, signaling the change in times and methods of communication.

Mrs. Spencer noted that this information is a great tool and resource for school officials.
