Prospect teen arrested for burning and destroying a dwelling

PROSPECT – James Dalton Wolford, 19, of Prospect, has been arrested and charged with Burning or Destroying a Dwelling.

Wolford was arrested on February 24 following an investigation by the Virginia State Police steaming from a suspicious house fire on that occurred on December 19, 2015 on Oak Hill Road in Charlotte County.

According to police reports, Wolford was living in the home owned by Mary Ann Jackson with his girlfriend at the time of the fire.

Wolford is currently being held at the Charlotte County Jail with no bond.
