Prince Edward Eagle golfer Henry Lutz capped off a strong season by taking medalist honors at the Conference 34 golf tournament at Kinderton Country Club on September 28. Lutz, who won medalist honors in 8 out of 10 regular season golf matches this season, fired a five over par score of 76 to lead all 36 golfers in the conference tournament. As medalist for the tournament, Lutz becomes the first seed for the all-conference team. The remaining players on the all-conference team include: Cassandra Robinson (80, Greensville), Davis Paone (82, Goochland), Austin Ligon (83, Greensville), Peyton Butts (87, Goochland), and Walker Richard (90, Greensville). Greensville, as tournament winners, 351, and Goochland, as second place winners, 359, advance to the region 2A tournament on October 5 at Kiskiack Golf Club in Williamsburg, Va. A third place finish in the conference tournament gives Prince Edward, 378, an overall season record of 14 wins and 11 losses. The top six scores that are not members of the first or second place teams are also invited to attend the region 2A tournament as individuals. The six individuals from conference 34 being invited are: Henry Lutz (76, Prince Edward), Josh Lloyd (92, Bluestone), Brandon Ligon (93, Bluestone), Emily Coppedge (95, Nottoway), Mark Stanley (96, Prince Edward), and Nathan Newcomb (98, Bluestone).
