The Eagles used home court advantage and a loud home crowd to go on a late 10-2 run that helped them to the win.

The game was close early on as Prince Edward got strong play from Zarius Jones and Kevon Braxton. The senior duo combined for 12 of the 15 points the Eagles scored in the first quarter and helped their team to a 15-13 lead.

The Eagles pulled away in the second quarter as their defense limited Nottoway to just 4 points, while Mark Patterson and TyVonn Spencer helped the Eagles in the scoring column. The strong second quarter gave PE a 30-17 lead at halftime.

Nottoway made defensive adjustments at halftime and shut down the Eagles offense for most of the third quarter. That combined with a big offensive outburst from Nottoway standout guard JayQuan Anderson helped make the score 38-37 at the end of the third quarter.

The final quarter saw Braxton and Jones take over once again as they scored 12 of the Eagles points and helped them to the 55-4 win.

Jones and Braxton led the Eagles with 18 points each in the victory while Patterson added 7, Spencer had 4 and Jair Haskins had 4 points.
