Central traveled to Prince Edward last week in a James River District battle between the two varsity girl’s teams.

P--CHS girlsCentral would start off the game strong, as they would lead by three points in a 19-16 score when the first half came to an end.

Both teams would play strong defense throughout the third quarter, but Central managed to increase their lead slightly and hold a 25-20 lead as the game went to the final quarter.

The fourth period would swing in the favor of the Lady Eagles as they were already in the bonus from drawing fouls on the Lady Chargers. This would have a huge impact on the final quarter and final score.

In the final quarter, the Lady Eagles would go to the line 10 times converting on 7 attempts as they edged out Central for a 35-33 come from behind win.

The Lady Eagles would end the night with trips to the line in the game, while the Lady Chargers would end up only going 6 times.  Bri’Anna Johnson would have a standout performance for the Lady Chargers as she had another double-double with 15 points and 21 rebounds.
