Phenix Man Dies in ATV Accident

A 58-year-old Phenix man has died following an ATV accident that occurred last Thursday evening.

According to the Charlotte County Sheriffs Department, Dean Allen Hancock was found in a wooded area around midday Friday, January 15. “It appears that he wrecked his ATV, and he was found with the ATV laying on top of him,” said police.

Police reports say that Hancock had called in a food order at a nearby convenience store Thursday afternoon but never came to pick up the order.
