Pettus Finishes Off Season With Strong Performance in 2A Championships

GREAT MEADOWS – Nasheim Pettus traveled to Great Meadows on Friday, November 11 to compete in the Group 2A Cross Country Championships. The race featured the best runners and teams from Virginia and was truly a great event as Nasheim represented Randolph-Henry in the highest fashion.
He completed the 5k course in a time of 18:42 and placed 60 out of 109 runners. The place didn’t indicate how well he raced, as sometimes 10 runners will finish within a second or two of each other.
“It was an honor and privilege to be a part of Nasheim’s special day and the entire Runnin’ Statesmen family is very proud of his accomplishment. Congratulations on a wonderful season and a job well done!!!” stated Coach Jeff Williams.
