Pennies Add up at Bluestone

Bluestone High School Students participated in the “Pennies For Patients” program which supports the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in putting funds together for research to find a cure for cancer. Many classes participated by collecting pennies and other denominations of money and putting it into boxes which most students decorated in a way that showed their support for curing cancer. This program was sponsored by Mrs. Gabriella Ancajas and Ms. Laur Warren.

The high school donated more than $300. For the past four years, this has been a special charity to which Bluestone High School students have donated. The top dollar year was last year, when more than $900 was raised. Mr. Christopher Coleman, Principal, gave the class who donated the most money a pizza party.

Shown here is the winning class, Ms. Warren’s third block Spanish I students.
